In some cases, people move just because they’re looking to get new opportunities in a new place. Whatever your reason for moving, there are a few things you’ll want to consider before you make the change.

For most families who have children, their kids are one of their main concerns when they’re thinking about moving. For instance, a lot of families move to a new neighbourhood to get into a better school district or an area closer to parks or recreational facilities.

Children not only influence the decision to move in the first place, but also the timing of the move. Many parents with young kids often hope to move before their children start school to reduce disruptions and avoid having to change schools. This way, your kids will get to finish the year in their current school and start fresh in the next grade.

If there’s a time of year where you know you’ll be especially busy with work, family commitments, or holiday celebrations, you may not want to plan your move for this time.
